Sightseeing in Australia

Many tourists come to Australia not quite knowing what to expect. Their heads are filled with pictures of rugged beauty and un real sights. The real Australia is not so unlike this, in fact it is much better.

Luckily in Australia each sight seeing attraction has it's own amenities, whether it be accommodation, visitors centres, tour guides or catering. Tourists can be sure that their stay will be set out for them.

As Australia's main attractions are located in the "Outback" it is best to take a moment to learn a bit about first aid. Any visitor centre or tour guide will advise tourists of tracks and safety measures which may need to be taken. If the tourist is new to the area it is advised that they let a tour guide show them the sights, this will not only give you an in depth look and description of the area but it will ensure they are safe and are not unintentionally harming the environment or wildlife.

Home to many fantastic sights the main attractions include the Sydney Harbour Bridge in Sydney, New South Wales. For those who are not scared of heights there is a Harbour Bridge walk which takes tourists for a walk across the bridge, here they will see some seriously breath taking sights. Whilst in Sydney don't miss the opportunity to visit the Sydney Opera House or visit the world famous Bondi Beach.

Then there is Queensland home to the two natural wonders the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rain Forest. Both of these areas span across huge parts of land and are World Heritage Listed. Home to some of the most endangered species of flora and fauna in Australia.

Possibly the most well known Australian icon is Ayers Rock or Uluru in central Australia. The red centre as local Aussies know it. A huge rock full of history, culture and art work. Here tourists can tour the rock with local guides and learn all about the indigenous Australians and their culture.

Although there are many more Australian places to sight see including Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory, the Coral Reef in northern Western Australia, the Great Ocean Road in Victoria or the Great Australian Bite in South Australia. The list could go on forever.

Every tourist should get the chance to come and see the real Australia. It is an unforgetable experience.
